Afishionado

A playful take on sustainable seafood.

Based in Canada, Afishionado is dedicated to bringing low-impact fishing traditions back to the plates of consumers. They source locally as much as possible and use responsible fishing practices as certified by Ocean Wise.
The design for their new frozen Breaded Haddock fillets uses elements of the letter “A” from the Afishionado logo, playfully interwoven with the illustration of a fish as the cross-piece of the “A” for a uniquely playful and eye-catching graphic language. The minimalist design of the package also had to work within strict bilingual language guidelines. This design is the first of a family of frozen products, all using the same design language but with a variety of colours and patterns.

The bag substrate is designed to be fully recyclable, in keeping with the low-impact ethos of the Afishionado brand.
